Blog Post 3 Prompt

In class, you have been studying the concept of applying a reading as a lens (WA 63-68). One of the most challenging aspects of this skill is being willing to accept when ideas do not map perfectly onto each other and learning how to talk about these "mismatches." For this reason, you are encouraged to write this post in a conversational tone; however, you must use at least two quotes to support your answer (one from Divergent and one from Moylan's "Preface"). 

With a minimum of 200 words, respond to the following questions: 

What idea(s) do you see present in Moylan's "Preface" that you do not see functioning in Divergent? If Moylan were writing about the 21st century dystopia instead of the 20th century, what factors should he take into consideration based on your reading of Divergent?
