1. Repetitions : adolescent, technology (technological), post-apocalyptic, terrible.

2. Strand : the rich, the good-looking, the athletic. These are all connected because they are social advantages.

3. Binary : Youth / Adult

4. The binary opposition youth/adult from Laura Miller’s article, “Fresh Hell” is significant because a main part of her article is comparing dystopia in young-adult literature to dystopia in adult literature. This is also important because it shows that adults and adolescents have very different views of the world. 

5. The anomaly, “ She might as well be living in a fairy-tale castle, dining off enchanted golden plates that refill themselves every evening” appears when Miller is discussing Katniss’s experience in the Capitol. This statement doesn’t fit with the rest of the article because throughout the article, Miller makes it clear that dystopias contain many dark elements. This shows how dystopias seem like they are better places, but they actually contain many problems.
