1. Repetitions:

There were several words repeated in this article. Some that stood out to me were the world adult which was used 11 times, and the world children which was used 11 times also.

2. Strand:

These words represent negativity or the idea of control.

(1) These words represent the theme terror, "depressing, alone,  terrible, dehumanize, stuck, unbearable, torturous, dangerous"

(2) These words represent the theme of discipline, "punishment, scold, consequence, imprisoned, torturous"

3. Binary: 

-poor/wealthy

-young/old

-child (teenager)/adult

-harmonious/hostile

4. In Miller's Fresh Hell article, she used many words to describe control and discipline, but he also used words to talk about adolescence. For example she uses the words, morals, teenagers, social hierarchy, experiences, surveillance. I think the author uses these words to explain to the reader the impact that dystopian readings have on the younger generation. Whether she thinks these impacts are negative or positive they are changing the way teenagers think. 

5. In this article, Miller uses several words and creates patterns to better explain the Dystopian world/culture. As much as he talks about the negativity in these worlds by using adjectives like terrible, cruel, torture, chaos etc... he also used positive words such as love, hero, safe etc to explain the difference between a dystopian world and a utopian world. He is almost trying to show the difference between good and bad, or a terrible world vs. a perfect one.
