Inquiry Question: How do dystopian works in popular culture represent the issue of knowledge vs. ignorance?

This article defines utopia, dystopia, and explains how knowledge can contribute to reaching the ideal society. It talks about what makes up a utopia and explains how if people aren’t knowledgeable, then their society isn’t truly a utopia. Societies that start out as utopias and keep the citizens in the dark end up turning to dystopias. People need to be able to make their own choices and they need to know what’s really going on for it to be a true utopia. 

This article will help me with my inquiry question because it talks about how dystopias keep people in the dark and in order for it to be a utopia, people need to know what’s going on. People need to be knowledgeable, they need to be able to ask questions and make their own choices.
