In this scene, the War Rig finally arrives where the Vuvalini are and the two groups are united. This is where Furiosa learns that the “Green Place” is actually the desolate muck field they were stuck in earlier.

Observation 1: The scene is bright and warm setting a peaceful at first.

Observation 2: The music is very epic but happy at first showing the reunion.

Observation 3: There are a lot of close shots to show the emotions on their faces.

Observation 4: It is very simple dialogue as if they have limited words.

Observation 5: We only see long shots with the women in it, them men are not pictured with the Vuvalini.

Observation 6: As the scene progresses it gets windier.

Observation 7: Everyone, at least for this film, looks very clean and put together.

Observation 8: Was Furiosa finds out the Green Place is gone, the sound of the wind is more prominent and the voices overlap, become blurred and echo.

Observation 9: The music get more intense like a horror film almost.

Observation 10: We see a long/extreme long shot of Furiosa by herself looking up at the sky against the dunes looking defeated and we barely hear her scream against the intense music.

Implication 1: The wind is blowing to signify the peace/hope is being broken.

Implication 2: The sand blown around blurs the view like Furiosa's next move is blurred.

Implication 3: Furiosa's scream is hardly heard over the music to show that no one can hear her cries and help.

Implication 4: We see her looking up to the sky as if she is praying.

Implication 5: There is an extreme long shot to show how little control she has over the big situation as she is small compared to the dunes.

Implication 6: The music is very powerful and drowns most other things out like Furiosa has done at this point.

Implication 7: We see the sun from an angle that looks as if it is setting to show how the hope is waning for Furiosa.

This film scene is a representation of how dystopia takes what is good away in order to maintain an oppressive order. This scene shows this because Furiosa was taken away from her home and then when she finally makes it back after years she finds out her home was destroyed. Therefore, dystopia has taken everything good away from her to gain her control.
