1. In the night max and the others are still running and go through a creepy place with lots of crows.

• Observation 1: The blue/gray colors
• Observation 2: Very Quiet
• Observation 3: There are really creepy looking crow things on stilts 
• Observation 4: The characters are always looking forward 
• Observation 5: Vectors pointing towards the destination of the characters 
• Observation 6: Muddy land

3. Colors

• Implication 1: it is dark out
• Implication 2: characters are losing hope
• Implication 3: they're in a creepy place
• implication 4: characters are doomed
• Implication 5: air could be dusty
• Implication 6: it is in a serious tone
• Implication 7: The characters are scared

4. We addressed in class the effects of color in movies. This particular scene is very big on color as it chooses to use a blue hue instead of just making it dark. This may just be for practical reasons in making it easier to see but if that were the case, the director could have chosen any color. He or she most likely chose blue to hint at the fact that it was a gloomy and almost hopeless time in the movie. The truck kept getting stuck and they were unknowingly just driving right through the so-called "green place."
