1. In this scene Katniss and Peeta think they both win the Hunger Games, but an announcer announces that there is a rule change, and only one victor may now be crowned. Katniss and Peeta argue who should be the victor until Katniss suggests for them to both eat the poisonous berries so they both die, which the announcer then announces that they may both win.

2. Observation One: Camera shows multiple close ups of Katniss
Observation Two: Camera shows multiple close ups of Peeta
Observation Three: Camera shows close up of Katniss's bow as she strings it
Observation Four: When the camera focuses on one of them, the other is in the background blurred
Observation Five: There is orchestral music playing in the background
Observation Six: The orchestral music starts to get louder and faster when Katniss brings out the poisonous berries
Observation Seven: Katniss and Peeta are still in their gear from fighting, which is dark and worn

Observation Eight: When Katniss and Peeta are counting down to eat the berries, Katniss looks up on 2

Observation Nine: When the announcer yells, "STOP," there is an extreme long shot of Katniss and Peeta next to the Cornucopia 

Observation Ten: When the announcer is announcing that they both may win, the camera has close ups of each of them with the other in the background, but this time the other is not blurry in the background

3. Katniss looks up on 2 when they are counting down to eat the poisonous berries

Implication One: Katniss knows the Capital and everyone is watching

Implication Two: Katniss is looking at the Capital as they are watching

Implication Three: Katniss is confident

Implication Four: Katniss is brave

Implication Five: Katniss is asserting her dominance 

Implication Six: Katniss knows that they both will be allowed to win

Implication Seven: Katniss does not fear them

Implication Eight: Although she is looking up at them, a bigger and stronger force, she knows she will win the scene

Implication Nine: Katniss is watching over Peeta

4. This scene is representative of the issue of, "Who won the scene?". The scene shows that Katniss, a random girl from an impoverished district outside the Capital, can get her way, or "won the scene" against the Capital. The Capital thought that they won, by changing the rules at the last minute so there may be only one victor, but Katniss threw them for a loop by suggesting that they both kill themselves at the same time knowing the Capital would not allow both of them to die. Essentially, this scene shows a binary of crafty versus agile.
