Megan Lightcap - Blog Post 5

Moylan v. Wolmark

Repetitions:
1. Social
2. Utopia
3. Women

Both Moylan and Wolmark repeat social multiple times throughout their texts, however both in different ways. Moylan discusses how the society affects dystopian literature, whereas Wolmark discusses how feminist authors are trying to make science fiction literature affect how women are treated and seen in society. Wolmark talks about how romance novels are using marriage to "solve" the problems in society of the "repression of women". Moylan uses society as an example of where the dystopian ideas are drawn from.
