1. Provide a 1-2 sentence summary of your film scene.

Furiosa tells Max to drive away with all of the water.

2. Make 7-10 observations about the film scene, based in the visual analysis tools you’ve learned (camera angles, vectors, color, costuming, character, etc.). Label these observations accordingly.

 Observation 1: The camera focuses on a close up as Furiosa puts her hands up to prove it's her.

  Observation 2: A long shot shows the biker gang.

        Observation 3: An extreme close up shows the features of the bikers.

        Observation 4: The camera moves quick as Furiosa dives under the truck to escape the gunshots.

        Observation 5 Deep focus shows Furiosa's movements with the truck in the background.

        Observation 6: An extreme long shot shows the bikers preparing to go after Furiosa and Max.

       Observation 7: A bird's eye view shows the chase between the Biker's and Mad and Furiosa.

Implication 6: Furiosa is quick to act when she decides to go through with the plan.

4. Based on your analysis, explain how this film scene is representative of an issue we’ve addressed in class.

This film scene is representative of gender roles. Furiosa is a woman yet she is the main character of the film and the main character who plots and goes through with this plan. This shows that while females are not necessarily equal to men in modern day, in SF, especially dystopian works, women have the upper hand and are the main characters. Furiosa is brave and smart and this scene is the epitome of her character.
