Moylan and Williams

Moylan and Williams both focus on artistic forms to highlight dystopia but while Moylan focuses on Dystopian novels, Williams elaborates on using cinematic qualities to highlight dystopian themes. Moylan seems to be talking to an older generation while discussing dystopian novels and Williams takes a more contemporary stab the dystopian genre by incorporating the enhancements cinema gives. This gives Moylan a more dated feel and makes Williams easier to read and examine. Although Williams and Moylan take different approaches in medium of dystopia, they both use changes in history to support the definition of dystopia.
Interesting. Moylan's book was published in 2000, while Williams's article was published in 1988. Does this change your assessment of the generation or audience they aim their essays at?
